Can i put on old school [longboard] wheels on a regular deck? if so what should i get? I am a beginner and am not looking to do tricks yet.

Longboard wheels are much bigger than skateboard wheels. If you were to put them on a regular board, you'd need large riser pads. Longboard wheels are also quite a big softer than skateboard wheels. I wouldn't recommend doing this, as you may develop some bad habits. Go into your local skateshop and ask the staff. Don't be intimidated or embarrassed for being new. If you want to do tricks eventually, I think it's important to first get the proper "feel" of what a skateboard is like.
