  • OK Slothmister. You did a great thing today, for you and your country! You saved yourself gas, got some exercise, and made less pollution and emissions from your car. The more you do it, the better you'll get at it, and you won't get worn out as much. Think of what you can do with the gas money you'll save. :)
  • The more often you do it, the quicker the aches and pain will go away, the quicker you'll get fitter and soon you'll do the journey in half the time! :-D BTW congratulations!
  • You will have a great looking butt and legs if you continue with it. And tou just did something great for the enviroment..its a win win situation!:)
  • How far is it? Is the terrain level or hilly? Do you have a bike with many gears? I biked back and forth to work during the summer one year..I was I think 40 at the time..the terrain was level, I had a no-gear bike and the distance round trip was 6 miles..I did it every day all summer long. So I say good job , good for you and carry on! :)
  • If I were starting any new activity, which involves muscles that haven't been used for a long period of time, I would do at least 5 minutes of stretching exercises in order to activate these under used muscles before I board the bicycle. Stretching out each leg and bending the abdomen to loosen up the back muscles is an important way of reducing pain and strain to those body parts. The simple warm-up will help make you feel more relaxed while cycling and in a few days, you should feel less knackered out. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, Slothmister!:)
