  • It is not clear what you want to be a member of a religion *for*. If you don't believe in any form of God, you are an agnostic or an atheist. But I don't think Wicca really believes in a God in the sense of a person, with an identity, looking at you and praising/criticising. As I understand it, Wicca sees that the whole of nature is God: not a personal God, but the glory of creation. You may choose to worship the trees today, as a particularly beautiful manifestation of that glory. But the Wiccan God is in everything and is not personified, unlike the Abrahamic one.
  • I spent a good amount of time in Wicca exploring this very question. I came to realize that I do not believe in deity. Hence, I do not fit in the category of Wiccan either. I am highly spiritual but I am not religious on any way. I am a religious skeptic. From Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_skepticism This does not exclude spirituality.
  • i am a pagan and i dont belive in any one god. people belive that i am a skeptic also becouse i dont believe in there god. a pagan to many other religions is to be without a religion. we dont just believe that there is one god we belive in many. you also may be a pagan but you just dont no it yet. if you want to know more just messege me and i will help you.
  • Don't think it is useful to place yourself into any group of belief, if you are delving into metaphysics and magick. Religion is merely a tool by which people feel a part. The true power is the ability to use and find a sliver of truth in all spiritual and religious beliefs--to shape and mold it into your own belief. I've studied Wicca, Ritualistic High Magick, Native American rituals mainly--but I do not follow any of these structures in my attempts to locate divinity. Divine energy comes to you in any mode you desire. Don't limit it through aligning yourself with the thought-forms and beliefs of others. Fuck religion. I think it's easier not to give the universe a flavor of a divine name. It's all and no deities. It's all and no sexes. It's energy with and without thought. Go and pray on the subject. Cast your magick even if you do not dedicate it to a God or Goddess. The 'God' thoughtform in Wicca is not aligned to the Christian God thoughtform, anyway. It's merely a naming for the masculine energies of the universe (strength, force, aggression, ambition), as the Goddess is a naming for the feminine energies of the universe (compassion, psychic gift, emotion). And, in truth, Wicca does not see these deities as the only forces--they are just energies--Wiccans believe that the Masculine and Feminine are merely polarities of a singluar source--the Universe. So, analyze what you believe a bit more. I think you need to delve into the fundamentals of Wicca a bit more to get a better understanding of what they mean by 'God'
  • “HOW am I to know for sure that my religion is the true one?” you may ask. “There are hundreds of different religions, and each one claims to be true. I don’t have time to study every religion. Is that the way you feel It is understandable that you may. However, since the many different religions teach conflicting doctrines, it is obvious that not all of them can be true. The Bible, too, indicates this, for it speaks of “one faith,” and encourages: “Keep testing whether you are in the faith, keep proving what you yourselves are.” (Eph. 4:5; 2 Cor. 13:5) The Bible also warns about being misled by false ministers, who “keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness.” (2 Cor. 11:14, 15) Jesus Christ himself said that many persons would be misled into taking the broad road to destruction So the test is a relatively easy one to make. If a religion is not in accord with what the Bible teaches, then it is not in harmony with truth. It is not the true religion. (Rom. 3:4) You have nothing to fear in examining your beliefs by the standard of God’s Word, for if you have the true religion you can only be reassured. And if what you believe is not in keeping with the Bible, then you should welcome the truth, because it leads to eternal life.—John 17:3. Firsty, there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 2:5) Thus, God is one person, and Jesus is no part of God but is the mediator between God and man. Jesus, too, said: “Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.” (Mark 12:29) And of himself Jesus said: “I am the Son of God.” (John 10:36; see also Luke 1:32.) So rather than Jesus’ being God or a part of God, the Bible speaks of him as the Son of God, not“Trinity” “Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is right.” This means knowing your religion, understanding what you believe and why.—1 Pet. 3:15; 1 Thess. 5:21. Your religion should have solid basis, not on religious leaders, not on religious systems, but on God’s Word, the Bible. You should make sure your religion speaks according to God’s Word before you hold fast to it. If you learn that your religion is teaching what is not right, you should let go of that religion, even as Paul found it necessary to do when he was in Judaism. You must be willing to see and accept the truth. By so doing you will come to worship God in the right way and thereby win his approval.—Gal. 1:13-24. Examine further your belief in the light of God’s Word. Does your religion teach that the name of God is Jehovah? At Psalm 83:18 the name of God is given: “That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” “I am Jehovah, that is my name.” Does your religion teach that? The right religion does.—Isa. 42:8,
  • it seems like with you being in touch with nature and choosing to do good with magick that would go towards the wiccan side because i am a wiccan and a witch but i am also a teenager and i am lucky to find the right religion for me and one that i fit into most because wicca is a nature based religion but what i can tell you is that each religion has its own things it believes in and what you could do is what i did study all sorts of religions and things about them then only you can choose the path you want to take . :)
  • First of all, if you do not believe in God, you cannot expect a religion to work for you. If you can find God, than just about any religion will work. Try praying a prayer you write yourself from your heart. Try something like :God if you are here, please open my mind and heart to hear and see your presence. Anything from the point where you are now, which is questioning. You are in a great place right now. Make up YOUR mind. I promise you, I have been where you are hanging, for years and I have no more doubts. Wiccan is a beautiful religion, but who are you praying to if you don't believe?
  • you want to be a witch , not a wiccan . a witch does magic , loves nature . a wiccan honors pagan or nature deities , and does magic. and by the way , there are christian wiccans . and many mixed faith wiccans . if you beleive in god or a god , do what you think he wants , not what the group of other humans who follow him tell you . do what feels right . i'm sure who ever he may be , will be happy you enjoy and embrace nature and want to use any vehicle to do better . go for it ! blb , bastbuy
