I think they think that adults are big word making things that do stuff for and to them.

This is actual truth. Babies are drawn to beauty, more than adults. So they'll be easily distracted by someone who they think is attractive. It's also reason why small children are so mean. They are brutally honest. By the time a person is adult, it'll be easier to fall for someone who is more or less average-looking.

It depends on the adult. Generally though,they'll think the first person they see is cute because that's all they know.
