My favourite is a very specific Ibanez Iceman of my husband's. It was pearl, when it was new. Over the years, it's been in so many shows it's now yellow, has the holy hades worn out of it, and is COVERED in stickers (to hide the bumps and scratches, of course). Sounds like a DREAM. God, I love that freaking guitar. His '76 Gibson Explorer is nice, too... but as it's in mint condition it doesn't have HALF the personality of the Iceman.

My Dad's Les Paul. I don't remember what year it is (really old), but it's solid wood, no finish, and he carved a bas relief of a reclining naked woman onto the body.

Look at this picture!! Do, We need to say anythings !!
-
Kirk Hammets custom ESP's. They look great!
-
The Cheatar. Look it up on google images. It's a giant guitar shaped like the cheat.
-
A flame top 58-59 Les Paul standard. A 58-59 Korina flying V like Albert King. SRV's #1 beat up old strat.

I always loved the design of the Rickenbacher bass guitars, such as the one played by Hellmut Hattler in this video (Kraan, Sarahs ritt durch den Schwarzwald): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DmD9dV9G4Q

The coolest guitar/bass I've ever seen is a CGI one in the video "Future Retro" on the Animusic 1 DVD. The thing plays itself!

The epiphone airstreamer, the body of the guitar is shaped like an airstream caravan. Genius.

I design guitars so I'm partial to some of my own, especially my 30 fret 5ths tuned 7, but the Gary Kramer Turbulence R is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time: http://www.garykramerguitar.com/TurbulenceR.html Here's a pic of my 7 for anyone interested: http://www.sandcitymedia.com/images/copyrighted_designs/30_fret_5ths_tuned_7/5thslarge.jpg

I think Les Pauls with a silverburst finish are pure sex. I will be owning one shortly, at which point I will be trying to figure out a way to make out with a guitar.

I liked one of the guitars that Matt Bellamy from Muse uses. It is very highly polished metal and reflects the spotlights back into the crowd.

this guy made his own guitar in the shape of a surfboard, with the body extending all the way over the headstock.

A few different choices: 1. Dimebag's Washburn Stealth or Dean Razorback 2. Schecter Synyster Custom Not because they're signature models-- they just look awesome!
-
Definitely the red Gibson SG Double neck! I love that guitar.

The BC Rich Warlock!

Ibanez SV5470 in Viking red. The body shape is amaizing, very comfy. However, this year the 5470 is only available in flame maple with either a blue or red finish.

A Gibson Flying V and Explorer, the korina ones from the late 1950's.

The Gretch White Falcon has always been a striking good looking guitar with it's snowy white finish and gold sparkle edge bindings. I also like the Ibanez Artist "Bob Weir" model from the `70's. The wood and the abalone inlay is pretty on the Martin D42 K2 and also on their limited edition D50 and D100 models. Carvin and PRS have been building some nice guitars lately using exotic woods such as curly maple, burled walnut and spalted flamed maple.
