  • I automatically give out points for a good question when I answer. There are many cases where I give points for a question but don't recieve any for my answer. Doesn't really bother me, but to some it may.
  • Sometimes I give points on questions I don't even answer. Sometimes I wait to give points on a question until I have answered. Some (few) questions that I click on, I don't give points on. I guess it all depends on the person.
  • Yes. Some users do. To each their own. I've made a habit of rating immediately after answering.
  • I don't know. I give away points like it's going out of style though. =P
  • Very occasionally if I'd simply overlooked giving the question points, I'll come back and do it. Which could make it seem as you say. I never even think of holding out points - pro quo. My point giving is completely independent of my own points tally.
  • I honestly forget. I get so into answering...!
  • Nope. I give points right away because that is the kind of person I am. Unless I have a comment, I rarely go back to an answer. Also, there is know way to tell that is was the asker, and not another user who gave me any points I may have earned.
  • No I havent noticed, I dont really pay attention to points. I do point almost every answer or question, I have missed a few, when I was new and when they were having problems with A/B.
