  • It may knock and ping a little. We had a new sierra at the shop I used to work at and darn thing wouldn't run well unless we put prem. in tank. If it concerns you, there are octane boosters available at most parts stores. 104+ is the first product that comes to mind. You put it in before you fill your tank. Make sure to follow all instructions!
  • Running 90-octane shouldn't be a problem so long as the car is fairly new, in good condition, and you don't flog nine quarts of dog-piss out of it. Your Crossfire is OBDII and thus quite adaptable to lower quality fuels than the OBDI beasts I usually drive. You'll PROBABLY be fine for at least the next few years so long as you don't drive like my buddy.
