Afternoon hours are best be associated with small dessert servings. You might consider cake plates, a cake stand, bakeware, porcelain coffee or teapots, or a cute apron.

Just be glad you didn't get 2:oo am......the perfect gift for mid afternoon is a stationery set that includes thank you notes, gift cards, writing paper, matching envelopes, a package of 100 "forever" stamps from the postoffice, a nice pen, and perhaps a small laptop writing desk.

A big jar of coffee because 2pm is the time of the afternoon when, having just had lunch, most people feel dreadfully sleepy (known over here as the 2pm 'Slump').
