No. Should it?

Nope, I can understand that completely.

Lol. Nope. When I was in 9th grade I wanted to get a degree in Psychology, still do, and am working on it. ~+~

No,they're probably interested in history.

I love history, and when I was in school, I wanted nothing worse than to be a teacher (unless you count wanting a horse). It doesn't seem the least bit odd to me.
-
Not to me.

Not at all. As a history teacher, I would encourage her. Perhaps she had a good history teacher who showed her what an interesting and often exciting story history is.

It is not odd at all. Many people, even much younger than 9th graders, have known what they wanted to become when they "grew up". I knew I always wanted to be a teacher, and more specifically an elementary school teacher. Everyone who knew me as a child from 5 years old and up went, "Oh yeah... of course," when I eventually did become one.

Nope. Not at all.

Nope. Everything that ever happened is history. I think it's laudable. Tell him or her not to teach Jr. High. Trust me!
-
No... Age doesn't matter. It may change later on, but knowing (or having an idea) what you want to do is wonderful. Too many people aren't sure, even when they enter college. Go for it! I'm into genealogy and local history. I'd like to help someone come up with a program and/or curriculum to teach those in school, and try to get some Jr and Sr High students involved.
