There are quite a few countries far worse than the US. North Korea is a classic example. The general population live in effective serfdom while the political elite live like kings. Iran and Saudi Arabia are two more good examples. Individual freedoms are stifled under religious dictatorship (sanctioned by, if not directly imposed by, the government).

north korea watched a programme about it in disbelief peoples days consumed by worshipping their great leader the country is like a shrine to kim il sung statues,tours,daily worship north korea is a country in a real mess the people have been brainwashed to live like this how the world can ignore this I just dont know.it made me cry watching.

DEAR designer, You simple sonof a #$## Have you ever walked the gaza strip?? I have while training with the Israel's army the place aint for kids I saw how they lived and spent many hours talking with the people so I have first hand experience of what its like ya cannot read everything out of a book !!! nore can everything be done by the book!! so you can call me simple but I saw what I saw heard what I heard . I am a disabled war vet I have traveled the world 3x while I was in the military I have seen the good the bad and the truly ugly so dont you ever question my integrity again.

A stable and equal paying country has little room for corruption. As for 'per capita', or overall general population, it would certainly be a very wealthy republic.

Mexico for its low paying jobs, and for cops who with $5 let go a criminal and the United States for unfairfully and inhumanely arresting illegal immigrants, and making their lives miserable because of their migratory status.
