New Years Eve 99/2000. Yes, the count down to the big 2000. I had just started dating this girl that I had fallen in love with months before, but just up until recently we started dating. We talked, but never really made any plans in being together on New Years Eve so I went out with a couple buddies. I sent her some roses earlier in the day and she gives me a call telling me that she was having family over and that I was invited if I wanted to. Well, I told her about my plans and she was cool with them. We didn't really plans anything out that we were going to meet up. Well, here comes 11:30pm and I'm a good distances away and I just start getting this feeling that I should or NEED to be with her come the new year. So rush to my car and do my best to get to her house BEFORE midnight. Now that night there were cops on EVERY street corner so I HAD to do the darn speed limit. To cut this short I get to her house and knock on her parents front door at 11:58pm, get in, she sees me and I got the biggest smile from her. She tells me that she didn't think she'd see me tonight and I told her that I was deeply in love with her and there wasn't anywhere else in the world I'd rather be. She wrapped her arms around me and kissed me in front of her whole family right through the strike of midnight.
