  • That appears to have been the case with the criminal on the cross near Jesus at his crucifixion. The man acknowledged his own punishment was deserved and appealed to Jesus ("Lord, remember me..."). Jesus said "Today you will be with me in paradise." Some theologians will tell you (with Biblical support) that humans are all basically evil, and anyone who is forgiven and welcomed to heaven meets your conditions. I would think anyone who *plans* this course of action can expect God to interpret (and disregard) this "repentance" to be as insincere as it would appear. Jesus also told a parable about workers, the point of which appears to be that people who find forgiveness and salvation late in life receive the same reward as those who serve God much longer in life.
  • If you go by what the Bible says, then even Adolf effing Hitler would be allowed into Heaven if he had repented.
  • Why not? It's God!
