Momma Bear asked a question, "Can dignity be purchased by the morally bankrupt?" (see http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2892877 ). It is a perfectly valid question, and the ONLY people who should be offended at ALL would be the "morally bankrupt". It was rejected as SPAM/OFFENSIVE. Why? It's a perfectly GOOD question, doesn't name anyone, doesn't make any judgements, doesn't spam, and shouldn't offend ANYONE, including the morally bankrupt, because they can answer the question (and have no idea if the question is about THEM.) Tom47 then asked "And WHY was Momma Bear's question about the morally bankrupt being able to "buy" dignity rejected as "offensive"??!! It was a very good question. Who has the right or reason to do that? El stupido grande?" (see question http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2899551 ). Again, a perfectly valid question. Ok... The "El stupido grande" is foreign language, but WHO does NOT understand that it means essentially "was this largely stupid?" or "Do only the hugely stupid have the right or reason to reject the question?" (And I assume he's talking about the flaggers here, not the staff who accepted the flag.) THIS one was rejected as NONSENSE. Made perfect sense to me! And to at least two other answerers. No others will be allowed to weigh in, because rejected questions are not allowed to be answered. There are many more question asking about other questions on AB that have not been rejected... What makes THIS one nonsense? So what makes the first offensive (and to who)? and what makes the second nonsense? Just curious, here.

Usually a question is checked by the staff before its removed, I guess if enough people find that question offensive or if enough people are just plain against the question (or answer) then it will be removed regardless of what the staff thinks. That is a good question to ask tho.

Answers are flagged by users. Users are human. Humans are incredibly dumb. If you have a problem, go to the feedback link at the bottom of the site and argue your case. You can usually get such questions re-instated.

G'day BigDaddy, Thank you for your question. I think it was a bad call and I would politely ask the staff to reinstate it. I must say that the system works much better than on Yahoo! Answers where the system works very poorly. Regards

It's bogus, and I requested that it be reinstated ...I don't know if it will be, but I tried Big Daddy !!

I can see no reason for flagging either of these questions. The only reason I can imagine is that the first asker was underage? And the second called for explaining a staff decision that staff did not want released? Just a thought. If neither of these applies, the question look perfectly legit to me.

You are a true knight in shining armor. Big Daddy, you have helped me before, and I would just like to thank you for keeping up the good work! you are definetely one of the best here, I mean that Big Daddy!

I don't know, but you did flag my daughters question just because you didn't seem to understand it. You claimed it was nonsense. It was written in spanish and was a valid question.

Is there a link, or is that it?

Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast mediums, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately. Nonsense refers to a group of statements which cannot carry sense in the context of sense and reference. Both answers from Wikipedia website.
