When I was young I had my left ear pierced in three different spots. On the bottom of the ear it was pretty much painless; however, at the top in the cartalage part it hurt very badly. good luck!

If you get your lobes pierced it only hurts a little bit, it's not even as bad as getting an injection.

not even a little ok...thats a bit of an exageration (did i spell it right?) about 3 /4 weeks ago my friend put an orange behind my ear and rammed the ear ring in... i mighta cursed a little but not that much pain.... did i mention i was on a bus with loads of 17/18 year olds surrounding me?

I think it depends on the person and who does it - some people say it hurts, some say they hardly felt a thing. Mine didn't hurt much at the time, but first time around I had them done very young and didn't look after them properly and got an infection which hurt immensely. I had them done again a few years later and now I'm scrupulous about it! Moral of the story: look after your piercings!

I haven't had the experience, but my friend said it was so fast that it didn't hurt. But if you pierce the side of your ear, it will really hurt because it's piercing your cartilage! But sometimes you can have ear problems after piercing ears!

Have you ever been pinched before, because it's about the same. Like fear, Most of the physical pain you felt in your life is what the your mind accepts. It only hurts bad because you allow it to be painful. You get what I'm saying.

When I had mine pierced, it stung a little bit the first day, but the only kind of earrings I could wear were 14K gold studs until they healed. It's important to keep the site clean to prevent infection. I was instructed to clean the earlobes with peroxide twice a day.

I have my ears pierced and it didn't hurt. its just a quick pinch, is what it really feels like. btu i also have my monroe and navel pierced so i can take needles pretty well. but really people have different pain tollarence so i dont think me saying it hurt or not really helps you, it may gain your confidence because i say it didnt hurt, but its really up to you, cause your the one getting pierced :]

Ok, Lets answer your question with...TRUSTY LOGIC!! Hmm, What does earpiercing involve? Lets see...Hmm, Either a small gun or large needle, forcing its way through your flesh, to leave a (hopefully?) permanent hole in your earlobe. You are technically being shot, or stabbed. BUT, it happens very quickly (the shooting or stabbing) So I guess it wont hurt as much. BUT the wound is still there, and must be kept open and sterile, risking infection (which is painful) BUT there arent that many Nerves in the Earlobe or Ear, meaning a relatively less sensitive part of the body. Pain is also relative to the person feeling it. SOmeone who has never injured themselves may find it excurciating, whereas someone who has been shot, and had Spinal taps May shrug off the pain as a mere tickle. So, I guess you will have to answer your own question, Ultimately. Goodluck!

No. I've had about 15 piercings already and NONE of them hurt, it takes a mere second IF the piercer is a GOOD one.

For a second there I read "eyes". In which case: YEAH. But I've had friends who've had ears pierced. Some places use local anasthetic on request. Normally doesn't hurt for longer than a few minutes.

There will definately be that moment of pain and discomfort as the piercing occurs. The piercing gun is loud, right next to your head and creating a hole where none existed. Your ears will throb for a little while, but after that it's really not bad at all. Just remember to keep the piercings clean and use only quality metals for the posts.

Nowhere near as much as another body part. I would have to say that my worst piercing was my tongue. Ears have nothing on that.

I did mine myself with 2 ice cubes and a needle. It didn't hurt at all, but I could hear the needle ripping the flesh.

It won't really hurt. To some people, they don't feel any pain at all. So, whether it hurts or not, varies from one person to another. Anyway, the process is very fast and the feeling you get when you see yourself even more beautiful when wearing earrings will soon make you forget the pain. So, I encourage you to get your ears pierced.

I don't think so...it would explain all the people with ear piercings. If it hurts, it'll only be a second or two when it goes through. The ear lobe isn't that sensitive, but if your piercing other parts of the ear I'm not sure. Most places use those guns, but I would stay away from those...those methods aren't really safe.

I've gotten six ear piercings in my lobes - three in each ear. I got the first ones at Claire's when I was seven, and the others at my doctor's office when I was 14 and 16. It's always been the same feeling - just like being pinched really hard. If you're really scared, try to get it done like they do at Claire's, where they pierce both at once (when my best friend was little, she ran away after the first one and had to be chased through the mall to get the second). Afterwards, it might ache a little bit, and it'll be a a little sore, like a bruise. Just keep it clean! Use a Q-Tip and some Hydrogen Peroxide twice a day, every day until you can remove the earring (usually about six weeks, I think). If you don't, an infection will hurt worse than the piercing - trust me, I've had a lot. My biggest advice to keep it from hurting is not to sleep on it. If you're like me and you just have to sleep on your side, maybe put the top of your head on the bottom edge of your pillow, just so that you're not on that part of your ear. Good luck!

Nope. It didn't hurt it just felt like a very warm sensation. The jeweler used one of those ear piercing guns. It was quick and painless.

If you get them pierced one at a time, the first ear doesn't hurt. You just hear a loud click and then your ear gets warm. The next ear hurts more. It feels like someone is pinching it really hard but it doesn't hurt THAT bad. Do it at Claire's. They're very friendly. Have fun!!!

It doesn't hurt at all .. its just like a little pinch and the swelling will go down in like 30 mins and u wont feel any pain at all, and trust me there are more painful places where you wouldn't want to pierce = ]

Nope!! It doesn't hurt at all!! It's just a quick little pinch and then it's over. The only thing that I noticed was my ears were a little itchy a few days later, but that's just because the skin was healing!! Just make sure to keep them clean, and don't mess around with them at first, and you'll be fine!

Not if you're just piercing the lower lobes, where it's just fleshy, no. It just feels like a pinch. If you get the cartilage in your ears pierced, it does hurt a little more and takes longer to heal. I have 3 piercings in each of my lower lobes, and 1 through cartilage on one ear.

All depends where. Piercing the lobe dosen't hurt as much as cartilage does. But pain is relative; it all depends on the person.

i just got my ears pierced last week, well it will be a week 2morrow[08/16/08], and it didnt hurt at all, i was really nervous about getting them done too, imm 17 and this was my 1st time, but the lady did it with the lil ear piercing gun and it was over in a flash, no pain, nothing at all, just make sure you keep your ears clean[use a q-tip and peroxide, or ear cleaning medicine], and dont put too much pressure on them or they will become sore, but other than that, you have nothing to worry about... .. . really nothing to worry about.

i got my ears pierced a year and abit ago (when i was 11) and i was teriffied, but when they did it you just feel a force on your ear and thats basically it, you dont get any sharp feeling. it just feels a bit sore when you are out of the shop afew minutes later,but its very minimal.

I think its depends on how your pain tolerence is. When I got mine done at 9 it felt like a really hard pinch for 2 seconds. For me it hurt and didnt hurt at the same time.

I have a very low pain tolerance so it hurt for me, but the pain wasn't excruciating. I've heard that taking some kind of painkiller beforehand can help with that too.

well i got my ears pierced and here my story: well i was sitting on the chair waiting for my ears to be pierced. they cleaned off my ears and then they took out the gun. i went with my best friend by the way! as the guns were coming closer and closer i thought to myself "omg omg get that thing away from me!". i was soooo scared! but they finally did it and i said "OW"! but the feeling quickly went away. I had a big smile on my face! if you are scared to get your ears pierced, dont be cuz it is totally worth it! dont hold back, go for it! and dont be scared! it doesnt hurt THAT bad! :) Hope this helped thx byee luv collierox

Not at all, I got mine pierced yesterday. You don't even feel it go through. All I felt was a little tightness from the earring. The Worst part is not knowing what it feels like. I was freaking out about it, but it doesn't hurt at all. I hardly felt it.Just don't look at the gun while they are loading it... it will freak you out. Good Luck!
