well from experience, my husband is in prison i know exactly what to say. Tell him how much you miss him and theres not a second that goes by when he doesnt cross your mind. You long to hold him, kiss him, and make love to him again. Tell him how you will be faithfully waiting for him to come home. Tell him that him being away made you realiaze how much you truly love him and never want to lose him and be away from him again... things like that!!

My boyfriend is in jail also... He says that he likes my letters so I'll tell you what I write to him. I start out with what I have done that day (I write him everyday) I answer questions that he has asked me and I ask him some too... The beginning of the letter is mainly just letting him know what I am up to. After I have done all that I tell him that I miss him and what feelings I get when we are apart. Each relationship is different. Jail is a scary place. It leaves you emotionally torn and confused and at least when I was there I also had physical things happen. (Skin getting lighter, some people have skin peeling, I didn't eat the food and my hair also fell out) He needs to know that although you are apart you still love and SUPPORT him. Tell him you want him to smile when he gets your letters. There isn't alot of smiling in there so that can be at least one time out of the day that he will smile. Tell him that you will be right there waiting on him to come home. I know that, that is one thing my boyfriend wants to here. You can talk about past memories that you all have shared. Just remember that anyone who is in jail feels alone. The other poeple that they are with don't care about what the other is feeling, for the most part. There is really no clear answer to your question. But I tried to help as much as I could.

Well my husband is in prison. He has been gone for 4 months and 9 days. He will be home in August, 2009. I thought I was doing fine up until last night when he was able to call for the first time in over a month. I have not seen him since August 17, 2008 and not hearing his voice has somewhat made it easier. He called last night and it broke my heart that I could not look at him or touch him. I never thought that this would be just this hard. Believe me when I tell you I wrote my husband the most heartfelt letter last night. The only way I know how to tell someone how I feel is to basically express it to the fullest. What I tell my husband is, you are my one and only, my husband, my best friend. I would rather take your spot for a lifetime rather than see you hurt for one single second. I would stand in front of a bullet for you. I dream about you each and every night and when my eyes are open not one second goes by that you are not on my mind. You really have to just go from your heart. Noone will be able to tell you exactly what to put because they are not in your skin. Just listen to a bunch of lovey dovey music and it will help you out. I promise.

whatever you feel, and make it as long as you can, they really like that!! I wrote my ex while he was in jail and his only request is that I write as much as I possibly can... talk about what you have been doing all day or week, or plans you have for when he gets out.... sometimes its easier to say things you wouldnt normally say out loud, in a letter, so just let it all out, and I would reccomend NOT proof reading just because you may change your mind and not send it .... :) good luck
