Does God really care if you believe in Him? Wouldn't God only care whether or not you're a good person? Why would He care if you believed in him or not? What if you deliberately do all the good stated in all religious books without necessarily believing?

you have to believe in him, it gives you the will to do right' having something to beleave in helps sooth the soul .

The thing is that believeing and doing good, often go hand in hand. When you believe in him, you find a reason to do good and see the full impact of your actions more clearly.

I agree with you, I dont think in any logical sense that god would care one way or the other if you believe in him or not as long as your good. But the guy in the funny pope hat knows that if you dont believe in god then he has no power over you or your money and thats what its really all about.

According to religion: Yes, yes, God loves all, It's fine as long as you follow it. That's what all religious people will say but I personally think we were created just to see how different people would handle the world around them. I can't answer for God because I've never met God. Whatever the case is, I don't do things simply because other people tell me to. I do good things because I feel like doing them just as much as I do evil things.
