  • NO. Jesus is the Son of God. He is not a sun god or deity.
  • No he has no kinship with the big bright thing in the sky. Any suggestion of such a relationship is pure blasphemy.
  • lol banana man... when jesus came, he saved everyone before the year ZERO, and the generation after him 0-100 A.D. so after the year 101 A.D then man was given a choice, or in other words, the end of the system of things, IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND how satan came with his ''angels'' to decive men into beliving what u belive.. then im sorry.. jesus loves you and so Do I
  • The Original Kingdom Gospel is all about light and increasing the light, so in that respect, you can relate it to the light of the sun as an analogy. Many people will teach you Paul's gospel about sacrifice, but all you have to do is pick up a concordance and see what Jesus himself said about sacrifice and see what he said about "light." That Original Gospel was surely about light. If you want to have a better understanding of that original gospel of light, this is a nice resource: http://gospelenigma.com
  • Certainly Solar relgion had an influence on early Christianity. Even Augustine was a worshipper of Sol Invictus (after his "conversion" as well, IIRC), and that's where we get our image of a halo... it's a Solar Disc. Now we're pretty sure there was a Jesus of Nazareth. Whether he's divine or not is a matter of faith. The concept of the Divine Man is found in other relgions as well. Also worth investigating is the influence of Mithraism on early Christianity. Solar deities are of course, ubiquitous in relgions. In my religion (Asatru) we have a Sun Goddess, from which the English word "Sun" is derived. We call her you guessed it: Sunna. :)
  • The Son of God
  • jesus talked about these FALSE PROPHETS and FALSE CHRISTS that came and will come. so read the bible the atheists say the word is contradictory but its not, its full proof
  • I think it’s funny that the answer for everything that might be mind opening is.... the devil did it! Bottom line is there are LOTS of reasons why this is possible and lots of reasons why its not... but as for the devil did it.... come on time to come up with a new reason for being closed minded. We were put here to develop not to stay stagnant… There is an element to EVERY THOUGHT you’ve ever had about God that is true and an element that is false. That’s the paradox of life. We’re all at the spot we are meant to be and believe what we were meant to believe. To each his own!!!!
  • Neither; He is the Son of Yahweh God.
  • the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE...no man comes to the FATHER, except through ME... John 1:1-3....the WORD. the WORD was with God. the WORD was GOD..... John concentrates mostly on the DEITY of Christ... hope is helpful...Barbara
  • He is neither a Sun God or Sun deity. He is the only begotten Son of God and the sun is created by Him.
  • Jesus the unknown man from Galilee? Certainly not. Jesus the fictional character built in the gospels? I doubt. The Christ image designed to substitute previous deities? Very likely.
  • Let's see, who was he modeled after? Dionysus/Bacchus? Mithras? Horus? Pick a Sun God. In reality, though, Jesus never really existed. He's the created Greek substitute for a man named Yahshua.
  • No way, Jesus is the Mexican pool-boy who lives down the road!!
  • Jesus actually is referred to throughout the history of Christianity as the incarnate Solar Logos : http://www.bizcharts.com/stoa_del_sol/logostalk/solar.html Interestingly, the Christian cross is one of thousands of renditions of a motif dating from about 12'000 BC, the Sun Cross. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_cross Without the shadow of a doubt, his additional ties to another Sun deity, the Phoenix, make him a Sun God within Christian mythology as in any other mythologies referring to the same historical character (poorly dated : mentions of the name of Yaweh predate Christianity by at least 700 years).
  • Jesus is God. Period.
  • he is only God not sun god
  • Also, I posted earlier crystal clear evidences of his role as a Sun God, let's top it with the House of Yaweh, a temple dating from 700BC : "Among the most fascinating artifacts unearthed from this time are ostraca from the mid-7th century BCE that referred to this citadel as the House of Yahweh (Biblical term)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tel_Arad
