because we can replace oil, we can't replace endangered species

Because it is a refuge...I know, I've wondered it myself...but in all honesty I think that the states and government should lower the tax on the gas for now...it would honestly save us quite a bit. Also, they should really push finding other fuels...since it's been years since they came out w/ other kinds of cars, but for some reason they aren't that easy to get or use!

The wildlife?

Because it is too potentially dangerous to the wildlife in the area.Remember the Exxon Valdes oil spill and the devastation, and there is many unreported spills that we never hear of.I hope that the government will always ban the drilling of oil in Wildlife refuges and they stop drilling at all in the Arctic. It is proven that oil companies have no regard for the environment. One example is when I was living in Florida on the coast. An oil spill happened miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. The company was told to contain the spill when it was easy to do.They waited and a storm came up and the crude oil was washed ashore. The beaches were covered in oil,no one could get to the water to swim, and the wildlife was desemated. No ,the oil companies are not responsible when it comes to drilling.
