  • Everyone is bipolar. We as humans, experience a full range of emotions. Sometimes, we may think we're strange for being overly emotional, but that's not always abnormal. People SHOULD have a variety of emotional experiences. It is only because of our pharmaceutically dumbed down culture do we start to entertain the idea that this is not normal. Do you want to be an emotional 'flat line'??? Someone who reacts with a gentle smile if her family is killed or if she is raped? Heck no!!! Express yourself and be cautious about the 'bipolar' label!! Emotions are the 'fire' of life.
  • If you think you are suffering from depression or bipolar disorder, your GP should be your first port of call. He/she will ask you a few questions and maybe refer you to a specialist.
  • Everyone feels moody sometimes. Especially if their body's hormones are out of wack due to puberty, pregnancy, or menopause. If you really think that you are out of control then there are a few things you can do. If you have insurance you can call the company and ask for a list of mental health providers. You can make an appt. with your doctor and ask for a referal. You can look for a therapist in the yellowpages or online. If you don't have insurance then I would suggest that you call your local mental health association or county mental health division.
  • Among other things, figure out a way to ensure that you can't get your hands on all your money at once! Truly bipolar people have sometimes gone through their entire fortune in a single day because of a temporary enthusiasm. Throw away your checks and use only the ATM card, perhaps.
  • go to the dr it could be a serius problem...my mom never thought i was till they took me to the dr because i ran away get on some meds if u can
  • I know two Bipolar people and each one is different. When they get manic, they may obsess over things, buy things, stay up being busy maybe painting, cleaning, shopping etc. Some hallucinate or get paranoid, hear voices and get violent or go into a rage. During the depression phase is what they DONT like, they love the manic phase. So as a result, they may self medicate, sleep for days, cry, and attempt suicide. One does drugs so she can get that "high" again. Normally Lithium works well for them, but they have to get the exact dose. I would see a doctor and explain your symtoms ASAP..
  • I think the best way to handle that is to consult a professional ASAP.
  • My advice is to not meddle in self diagnosis. that's never good. A lot of people think they are bipolar when they're not. plastered all over the internet are many lists of symptoms, but its different for everyone. you might have every one of these symptoms and not be bipolar, or you might have very few, and turn out to be. it's difficult to tell, and i would really recommend seeing a doctor, and getting a referral to someone who can really tell. good luck!
