They believe that the Bible says that everyone sins (Romans 3:23), That the wages of sin if death (Romans 6:23), Jesus is the only way to avoid this death or eternity in hell (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8), You must be saved from this eternal death and Jesus is the only way to be justified before God's wrath (Romans 5:1, Romans 8:1) So we are being saved from the judgment of God through Jesus.

1) "Baptists share so-called "orthodox" Christian beliefs with most other moderate or conservative Christian denominations. These would include beliefs about one God; the virgin birth; miracles; atonement through the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus; the Trinity (the divinity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, together with God the Father); the need for salvation (through belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God, his death and resurrection, and confession of Christ as Lord); grace; the Kingdom of God; last things (Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth, the dead will be raised, and Christ will judge everyone in righteousness); and evangelism and missions." Jesus makes a true difference in our lives. Each of us was created in the image of God. This gives us tremendous value to God. And He loves us! However, through the tragedy of human sin, we have become sinners. We sin by our nature. We have all chosen to disobey God in our choices. Our sin has built a barrier between us and God. The result? Separation, death, hell. The Good news is this--Jesus Christ died to remove the barrier that separates us from God. Sin against a Holy God demands punishment. Jesus took our punishment for us when He died on the cross. His sacrificial death paid the sin debt which was too much for us to bear. The way we gain forgiveness is to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts by faith. When we do, we are saved from the penalty of our sins. God's Holy Spirit enters into us. He gives us true purpose and meaning in life now and a confident assurance that we will live in heaven forever. We strongly urge you to trust in Jesus Christ. And, when you do, why not let us know? We will gladly celebrate your salvation with you. Readings From the Bible These are a few of the many, many verses in the Bible which explain the gospel (the good news of salvation through Christ). If you have any questions please contact First Baptist Church, we will be glad to talk with you. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;" Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 10:9-10 "That, if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."" Every person in this world has eternal suffering in Hell to be saved from. Christians will be saved from it through the justification of the blood of Christ. Unfortunately, there are many who will perish. Without reconciliation to the Father, we all fall short of the glory of God and deserve death. No man can come unto the Father but by the Son. It is through Christ that we are able to be saved from the very thing we deserve; death.
