Have never had Mormons @ my door but the Jehovah's are not bad people (even though I strongly disagree with them)

I have found the Mormon missionaries to be much easier to have a reasonable discussion about religion with. The JW's in our area consistently fail to answer questions, or accept certain widely known facts. This is over a period of about three years meeting regularly with both groups. One example of the struggle with JW's was that I spent 30 minutes trying to prove to a woman that Luke wrote Acts not Paul. She told me that, "that may be what your church has taught you." She then came back weeks later and in a completely condescending tone told me, "You know, you were actually right. Luke did write Acts. I thought you would want to know that it was really true." Amazing. Anyway, I thought it was striking, the difference between the two most prevalent door to door missionizers in the US.

I haven't noticed that one set of missionaries is markedly different from the other, although the Mormons do tend to be less pushy when they find out that I'm Wiccan. My partner reports that Mormon missionaries visited our apartment while I was in India and he was home. He said they were very respectful and thanked him for his time when he stated that he is Hindu. However, both come around door to door in active, uninvited proselytizing.

I like the Morman kids and feel sorry for the JW's. JW is a cult and it is a shame that young people waste their lives working for their cult leaders.

Joseph Smith was a fraud and Eisegete

Both are very closed minded and goal oriented (the goal of converting you).

Both have there stall tactics and shut down at a predetermined point.

Both say they are the one true church, that all others are wrong.

Both talk in riddles and have a vast pre-memorized presentation. Like a vacuum sale man, just a whole lot more.

Neither can be brought to see the truth (well this is incorrect, some you can reach with biblical truth).

Yet, if I had to chat with one of them... wow thats a hard one... I suppose the Mormons.

The JW's just don't understand the word "NO". They are relentless.

Although, I would never invite either of them into my home. When knocks on your door, you should never invite him in.

Both of these groups are overshadowed with demons and spirits, that are not of God. Inviting such spirits into your home, is akin to bringing a Ouija board into your home.

Although the board is nothing but mere cardboard and plastic, the spirits that are aligned with it are the beings you need to stay away from.

So it is with the missionaries, they them selves are just people. Trapped in an occult organization.

As in the Mormons, when they go to the temple and baptize dead people. They are conjuring spirits and inviting them into there hearts.

When the Mormons go through the temple rituals, they again are inviting demons and evil spirits into their hearts.

The whole temple experience is a demonic one, one that is designed to empower Satin with the enslavement of the host Mormon.

I am not sure if when the Free Masons developed the Temple ceremony, this was there intent. Yet, none the less, it is the result.

    Sorry, I digress...
