  • dont know, identical twins are clones of each other, plants are globally mass cloned for Food
  • I think so. What if you were a clone of your brother or sister (who passed away tragically and your parents wanted a replacement). Would that cause some unfair identity issues for you?
  • Cloning is performed around the world all the time. What do you think that cloning is?
  • Science can go too far in manufacturing what should be organic and natural. I think cloning is an example of that and should remain the stuff of science fiction. As a reality, it sounds great in theory. But when you think of lost individuality and science/ technology being more powerful than the laws the Universe governs... is there anything left that is even somewhat sacred?
  • i guess it depends on what type of cloning and who you are talking to. animal and plant cloning could solve many hunger problems or save endangered species, and human organ cloning could save countless lives. but people object to the methods of research (such as stem cell research) or they just believe it is unnatural. when you get into human cloning, there are even more issues. the biggest one is that you start looking at people as property (why do you clone a person? to replace someone, or to have spare organs on hand?). also, people wonder if a cloned human would even have a soul - they believe it would be an abomination.
  • Because one of me is enough.
  • imagine two of your selves. in my case, then earth will end shortly
  • I don't know that cloning in its self is wrong as much as some of the thigs that it could be used for, cloning is a potentialy dangerous technology.
  • When most people think of cloning, they conjure up an image (straight out of a sci-fi movie) where a clone emerges from a vat of ooze or rolled off the line out of some machine. In reality, the process is more organic and reliant upon existing life than is portrayed.
