Why lie at all? It can easily become a nasty habit.

None of them, but if I really had to choose it would probably be my income.

I lied to my sister about how much I weigh, and I feel guilty about it, because I don't believe in lying. I did not want her worrying about how fat I have gotten.

Income. The rest makes no difference to me.

My memory isn't good enough to lie - I'd get caught somehow.

Income. I'm not ashamed of it...especially considering what I do for a living, I'm reasonably well paid... Of course, I just admitted to lying about my income, so all the "well paid" talk, could be just another one of my fabulous fabrications.

Sexual past... It tends to make people get the wrong idea about me.

GUILTY!!! *Cherry raises her hand* I've lied about my age - I've said I was older than I am just to see the look on people's faces and I've been telling my kids I'm 26 years old for the past 10 years! I've lied about my weight because I am heavier than I look so to avoid people saying stuff like: OMG, you're lying, you DO NOT weigh that much or OH OKAAAY, so where's the fat, in your toes? I know..dumb! I've lied about my income so people do not ask me to borrow money - I've heard that it's a #1 cause for friendship killer! I've lied about my job for no particular reason...actually, I didn't really lie, I just sometimes do not tell people that I have a job or that I'm unemployed. And finally, I've lied about my sexual past because...well, some people don't know/believe what a bad, bad girl I used to be.

I wouldn't lie about any of it, but my sexual history is no one's business..I am 70-1/2 and currently weigh about 125..I am retired and earned my living as an Accountant..I made various amounts of money..when I was putting my son through college I was earning $50K a year and that was in the early 80's! :)
