My heart rate is very high also, I know that if I don't keep an eye on it, then it can have negative effects, but I have never really worried about it too much since I have no other problems. Mine runs around 110-120. The doctor has never asked me to do test though just keep an eye on it. Good luck;)

I had an overactive thyroid years ago and my only symptom in the beginning was a rapid heart beat..If you're feeling ok and your DR. is testing for things, Im sure your thyroid will be tested too. A blood test will show your levels..If they are high, then you'll have a scan. It isn't a bad test. Good luck! Hope you find out soon.

Hi Lots of things can cause, but most probably anxiety and stress. This produces a hormone, adrenaline causing raised heart rate, tightness, and swaeting etc. Worth checking out though

Yes...my pulse will get up to 150+. I have had an EKG (which was abnormal) and I am scheduled for a treadmill next month. I have also had an echocardiogram done with revealed that I had borderline myocardial infarction and a slight valve regurgitation. Good luch on your tests.
