I will say congrats to the English game, I find it the most fun to watch. The Italians fall over a lot, and the Spanish are a bit too pass oriented for my likings. The English game is nice and physical. Also, the two English teams that made it do have a really strong English core, too. Sure they both got there on the feet of a Portuguese winger and an Ivorian striker, but those two teams are like...half of the English national team. You can make a pretty damn competitive all-English XI from those two squads...except in goal. Englishmen can't stop shots.

The word just reached me today. Forgive me, I live in the United States and the NHL and NBA playoffs are happening here. Congratulations England! Nicely done mates. Good job!

It's a tremendous achievement, it's just a pity the national team can't do as well as foreigner-stuffed premiership teams, although I admit that Chelsea have far more English players than a couple of years ago and Man U. have always had a core of local-grown talent.

The quality of the English national team shows that it is not necessarily a national question anymore. The English league is the one where most money goes, and the English clubs therefore have the best players from all over the world. But congratulations anyway.

I grumpily concede that the level of play on the Premiership is above the one at Spain, Italy, Germany and France at the moment. That 3 of the final 4 teams on the competition were English is no fluke.

Being a Roma fan, it bugs me to have to admit it but I'm a sport, so I guess I have to say yeah... Would you do the same for another League? ;o)

English Football is great, too bad not many English players are on the pitch.
