  • If God can do everything, can he make a rock that is so heavy that he can't lift it?
  • In a competition there are three doors. Behind one door is a prize, the other two hold nothing. Therefore, at a random guess, the chance of winning must be 1/3, right? The host says pick your choice. You choose a door. Before it's opened he says "Now I shall open one of the remaining doors that doesn't contain the prize." He opens one of the other doors, and there is no prize in there. Fine. Now he says "So, do you wish to swap doors, or keep the one you've chosen?" If you do so, the chance of winning is 1/2, right? So, if you have prior knowledge that the host will open one of the doors without a prize, does that mean your original odds are actually 1/2 or 1/3? Still more, let's say our host allows you to swap your choice with the other door... mathematically, should you do it? Does it make a difference?
