  • I find this offensive, and a load of nonsense. I think you asked it to deliberately provoke people.
  • A rather strange question....but let us treat it as though it was asked in honesty. Firstly, whenever you look at a verse, you must respect the context. ======== 7Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." 9"Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked. 10He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there." ============ it is clear to see here, that Jesus is making arrangements for the Last Supper. He is being very careful, as He knows that there are plots about on His life. Not that He is shying away from His death-He knows it is going to happen- but He wants the Supper to go ahead without interruption. (What happens afterwards will happen). So what is going on here is a series of arrangments that have been made, but are being kept within the smallest group possible. The man who owns the room where the Last Supper takes place is clearly in on the arrangements, as is the man who is carrying the water jar. The water jar detail is an interesting one. Men, at this time and place in history, did not normally carry water. That was a woman's job. So this was the equivalent of someone giving you an instruction to give the secret message to the man with the white flower in his top buttonhole, or who is wearing a red hat. It is a pre-arranged signal that Jesus has made with the owner of the room. At the last moment, Peter and John, two of the innermost circle of disciples, are also let in on the secret, but not the rest of the disciples. Jesus knows that His betrayer is from the inside, and does not want to be arrested during the Supper. These verses have nothing to do with astrology or predictions or even the second coming. They only have to do with making sure the Last Supper went ahead without interruption, because of its importance.
