  • Many men have a neanderthal-esque idea of masculinity, in that they don't want to talk after sex or cuddle, or be emotional or sensitive, for that is being borderline gay, and being gay is repulsive to them.
  • And here I was, thinking the biggest insult to a man was belittling his penis size...
  • It's just like some people like to throw around the word "feminist" as a derogatory label. The dictionary defines feminist as one who believes in economic, political and social equality. I believe most people believe in that, so why is it meant to be so offensive I wonder.
  • Men have this annoying thing that keeps bugging them - their manliness. It's probably explainable via biology, hormones, society, whatever. Either way it's a constant reminder that, in order to be successful, in order to be liked, they must maintain their manliness. What this comes down to is the traits presented by the level of testosterone, like hairiness, muscles, testicles, voice depth and height. Since a woman is typically lacking in these, comparison to women is an implication of a lack of manly characteristics. The comparison can also be drawn to being pre-pubescent, under-developed or un-sporty. Being a female is not a bad thing, nor is being pre-pubescent, nor un-sporty. It's merely a comparison to highlight a man's short comings.
  • The truth is, that the men that feel that way, don't have the testicular fortitude to accept the feminine part of themselves.lol
  • Let's turn it around and have a look: "Nice moustache, Jane." "She has such a manly walk." "Susan's deep, barintone voice..." Doesn't seem that women would be too keen on being referred to as masculine in most cases. So many things we find attractive in males is the opposite of what's attractive on females. A broad shoulder, flat chest, strong jaw, narrow hip, facial hair, deep voice; all these we see as masculine traits that would be unnattractive in a female. It's easy to insult someone of either gender by saying they display the traits of the opposite gender, whether biological or culturally defined.
  • We are all adrogynous in a way..apparently you are a bitch...lol..be proud it's a badge of honor.. being in total control of herself..or himself.
  • I guess that I don’t have a problem with it. I know that I love my wife, and am secure in my sexuality (bolstered greatly by my wonderful wife). For her amusement I am often in situations that would be viewed as being feminine. It is well known by her friends that I do the housework (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and such) and they also know that she often has me wear special clothes while doing these chores. I carry her handbag for her almost all of the time (it is so heavy, and I love being helpful). I am not insulted in the least if someone makes a reference to something I do as being feminine and to answer your question, being female is not bad. Women as a general rule are by far the fairer of the sexes with more compassion and understanding. Sometimes we guys should consider it quite a complement to be compared to women.
  • I have been told it is more insulting to insinuate that his penis is less the average. He can change his behavior and "act" more masculine if he likes, but he can not change the length of his penis. To date I have only seen where surgery can enhance girth, but not length.
