might I also add that if I called in late to work and said it was because a god talked to me and told me to stay home I would be called crazy. If I told you purple people eaters flew out from the clouds and ate my car you would call me insane! If I told you gravity vanished in my house and the furniture just floated around you would think me a mad man yet I am supposed to tolerate and accept mass delusions about pregnant virgins and miracles and devils and angels when nothing I have ever seen supports this in a scientific or explainable way that would prove it is true. Just because it is in a book doesnt make it true and no one would like more for it to be proven true or false than millions of scientists and none of it holds water in the laws of physics or nature or reason

@someguy : so you believe and choose god out of fear of some consequence? Some cosmic spanking from the all powerful parent diety? That seems to me to be just choosing the better option just to be safe...just in case. again as far as proof goes show me a miracle with my own eyes, show me a god or a jesus that isnt written in a book filed under fiction, show me ample proof, scientific proof which can be measured and weighed by the same standards we call reality and I would convert tomorrow..maybe

one last thing before I go do something constructive with my time; why is it christians can never debate? they always take questions as an attack upon them and their diety. It's opk for them to go on and on and on trying to convert and sing his praises but one person says something in defiance to it and you guys are ready to nail me to a cross (pun intended)

so did any of those people that saw him rise write a book about it? pass it down the family tree? I turned my back on God and jesus because they never did anything for me that I havent done for myself. The only thing I have ever seen in religion is people using it as a crutch to justify their actions, deflect their sin, perpetuate their lifestyle, oppress people and destroy cultures, enslave rational thought, slow progress and science, cause wars and killings in their name, but don't take me the wrong way I don't just mean christians I mean all religions. I have studied quite a few of them looking for answers and no one has them. Most come unto religion because mommy and daddy did it, or whatever. Not me I looked for answers and proof, I looked for some kind of reason men seek out god and for what reason and none were satisfactory. I cannot just accept things I need answers and reason and blind faith and devotion to half truths and imaginary beings who control my fate dont suffice.

well the lord wasnt the only one, many a thief was nailed to a cross in the day as well, so he didnt experience anything worse than countless others throughout history have experienced. Some have had worse than him and they didnt have super powers and a magical daddy.

show me something some prrof of aomething within the last 100 yrs geez no one is around to say this crap is fiction or not. if god is so divine and real show me prrof today, show me miracles he works for a million people with aids, show me miracles he works for thousands of children dying of starvation, show me miracles or proof he works now, some videotape or something. all the proof I need he doesnt exist is this; If I have a child I love my child unconditionally, no matte rhwat they did I would love and forgive them, even murder, they might be punished for it by me or the authorities but they are still my child and I love them

um I think a lot of starving dying people are praying pretty darned hard and they are not being healed or helped by a god. people like me have free will but so do deer and rats and squirrels, people like you do not, yeah you can choose to ignore but you do not for fear of punishment, that is not free will. As far as a rapture would be ok with me, then I could live in peace without all this religious craziness. and his name is not profaned his name is not God that is only a term used for many dieties and christians in their egotistic ways proclaimed god was The GOD. man all the scripture and book quoting in the world cannot convince me of your lie. I have read it all too and its all nonsense.

man there isnt enough time in the world to go through all the delusions you suffer. So if it were up to you and your god all the thieves, liars, cheaters, gays, bad kids, people that work on sunday or anyone else that broke your gods millions of obscure laws would be stoned to death. thats hypocritical since man should not kill but love thy neighbor. as far as eve goes
