  • Average gestation period for a cat is 61 -63 days, although it can go from 57 to 69 days. I have no idea how far along your cat is, but I'm very sure she'll get bigger. As for feeding her, I always try to feed my females kitten food while they are pregnant and nursing, as they need more nutrition during this time. I keep dry food out for them at all times, and let them eat as they will. Watch your cat for signs that she is about to go into labor -- her nipples will become larger and a darker pink. She'll start "nesting", too, as she's looking for a safe place to have the babies. Prepare a roomy box with a blanket or towel that she can get in, and put it in a quiet, out of the way place. Show it to her and try to coax her into it. She may decide that's a good place to have her babies. Good luck to you and your cat.
