Has anyone ever been in a mosh pit? Is it fun or scary?

It's mint! At first it's like omg! what i am doing here but then you get in and just go for it like everyone else. Make sure you wear shoes that will stay on your feet though!

At the last mosh I was at I had a great time. Manson/Slayer, it was intense. If you're not afraid of pain or violence it's a great time, it gives you some adrenaline to go with the music. However, I'm a big guy and it may not be as fun for someone smaller. Wear boots is my suggestion, Steel-toe is better, people will step on you. Also, wear long pants and sleeves if you can stand it. Nobody like to get covered in blood.

I have. I had a lot of fun. But I suppose it could be scary. Just know that you are probably going to get hurt. Nothing serious, but I've been elbowed in the face and stuff like that. Just be carefull. It also depends on what bands pit your in. I went crowd surfing a couple times and that was a blast.

I've been in several. And it really depends on the band and the size of the crowd. There are fun pits, and there are angry pits. I've been in both. First time it may be a bit scary, even in a fun pit. I was in one (fun one) where some parents brought their 10ish year old kid and he stage dived and road the crowd and everyone was very nice and made sure he just had fun. And I've been in one where a skinhead was picking fights (quick headbutt to the nose, and situation resolved).

Hmm. well. I jumped in thinking it was going to be fun... then this guy grabbed me and wouldnt let go until I sunk my nails into his arm and ran.. Twas even creepier when he stalked me out of the building. Thank God for my older bro, no? Lol

I hate mosh pits. They're not scary as much as annoying. I don't like the violence, and it just ends up making me angry and disgusted at the people in it. Kill them with fire.

the first time, i didnt know what was going on. i wouldnt call them fun or scary i guss i dont relly have an opinion about them
