Yes, though the quality of such care, as well as the availability, is questionable (per friends in Wales).

Yes, in Canada we have all of our medical expenses covered. It does includes the dentist visit but unless you have a health plan you may have to pay for the procedures (scaling, fillings etc..) My particular health plan includes dentistry, doctors appts, prescriptions, massages, acupunture, pyschology (visits to thr shrink) and other stuff but I can't remember.

I live in England. If you're pregnant, have a child aged under 12 months, are claiming certain benefits, are over a certain age, under 16, or are under 18 and in full time education -- then you get free dental care. As far as I know, most other people have charges of some sort to pay, even under the NHS. However, the government introduced a contract for dentists a few years ago, which many dentists just weren't prepared to accept due to the fact it short changed both patients and staff. So a lot of dentists went private, and stopped accepting NHS patients (apart from children, pregnant women and the elderly). This put a lot of strain on the dentists who remained NHS, and naturally it'd be fair to say the level of care was reduced. The only NHS dentist I know of in my area was featured on the documentary ''Dentists from Hell''. I see a private dentist, and the quality of care is excellent.
