Why is the term "Douchebag" pretty much confined to the USA. Was there an enema epidemic there? And why is a water container insulting?

I think it was the latest "dirty word" used on one of those ridiculous teen cartoon shows like South Park or Beavis and Butthead, heh, heh. Whenever those cartoon characters discover a "new" word, it starts showing up on the internet.

It's not used for an enema, and I don't think there was an enema epidemic in the States. I think the proper use was for vaginal cleansing, and I think they are obsolete.

It was the great enema drought of 1963-64 when a good enema was nearly impossible to find. There were many foreign enema/douche bags imported to the US and litterly over night the enema/douche drought dam burst and America was regular and clean in the nether regions again. God Bless the douche.
