These are questions for your doctor. Chances are, you and the baby are okay. But drinking and smoking stops now. Complications and birth defects are very real and life-long. Do what you need to to ensure you and you'r baby's health.

I can't speak for the cramps, though I'm sure it's normal. As far as the alcohol and weed usage... It would depend on how much you were using, and what you were using. Some possible effects are low birth weight, premature birth, miscarriage, developmental delays, mental or behavioral problems and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. In all reality, the first trimester is when the fetus is most at risk for complications due to drug and alcohol usage. It should be avoided at all cost. But, you also have to consider that most women don't even realize they're pregnant for weeks, and all that time they've been going about their normal activities, including drinking. There is no real way to know what effect your prior drinking will have on the child, or if there will be any at all, probably until he or she is born. All you can really do is stop now, and make sure you start going to a doctor immediately. Tell them about your prior drug and alcohol usage, and be completely honest with them about it. Good luck!

I didn't find out about my first pregnancy until right around the same time as you. Although I wasn't smoking pot, I was drinking excessively and smoking cigarettes. I was told by my physician that there are always risks involved when you smoke or drink during pregnancy, however, there's nothing you can do about those choices now. Just make sure you abstain from these activities from now on, and don't worry too much about the potential complications. My son is a beautiful, healthy 2 yr old with no abnormalities.

well now lets see your smoking weed and drinking does that sound likes its ok, ask your doctor and they'd tell you that your crazy, how bout this, try asking people you know that were pregnant and see what they tell you, my suggestion would be to stop otherwise if you keep going on like this you could end up having serious complications, because if something does happen the only person you have to blame is yourself.
