  • you have a couple of choices to check. one is the distribuitor cap it could have a broken post inside. the other is a bad spark plug, maybe gap too big or just burned out. three, it could be your air sensor that could be going bad. normally your check engine light will go on soon after that. if your check engine light is not on then you have a vacuum leak or a disconected hose.
