  • I found this in a description of the IBM Thinkpad 380D Laptop: "There is no separate numeric keypad, but several letter keys can be used as a numeric keypad when "Num Lock" is turned on." Source and further information: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/117796/product_review_ibm_thinkpad_380d_laptop.html So in the case of your laptop, you could have to check the "Num Lock" key.
  • ok you might want to try this. About half an hour ago my kitten jumped on my laptop while i was in the kitchen fixing a snack. Anyway it took me about 20 minutes to mess with it and the combo I used was holding the SHIFT (either side) key and the NumLk. Since I work on an older IBM laptop it didn't use the FN (function) key. There's an indicator light with an arrow embedded with a number 1. That should do the trick for you.
