I have been known to yes - I meow at him too but i think it must have something to do with my accent cause he looks at me as if I am mad when I talk to him this way....

I don't purr but I have kittens and I hum to them. I think the vibrations from humming are comforting to them.

yeah , lol it makes it confused where the sound is coming from until it knows it's me , it keeps starring at me.
