Apocalypse Now. While the plot may be weaved from pure fiction and even somewhat exaggerated, I think it did a good job of depicting what a war was like, good enough that I don't want to know any more.

"Coming Home in a Body Bag" Coming Home in a Body Bag is my favorite movie of all time. After Apocalypse Now, I think that is the best Vietnam movie ever made.
