I'v heard that rubbing pepermint oil on you're forehead can work for getting rid of headaches. (But be careful, if you get that stuff in you're eyes it'll make it worse)
-
Relaxation and deep breathing of fresh air has always helped me. If you are getting headaches often then you should try to find the source of the cause. I've found sensitivity to food additives to be a big cause. Sleep positioning, stress or an actual internal injury / abnormality.

This is going to vary depending on the type of headache you have. I have allergies and suffer from blindingly painful sinus headaches because of them. These tend to be in the forehead and eye area. These are the only type I tend to get and some of the remedies I've found are: 1. Ibuprophin. It helps reduce inflamation. 2a. Scalding hot shower. I turn it on as hot as I can stand it and stick my face under the water. 2b. Scalding hot washcloth. If a shower isn't an option, a wet washcloth will do. 3. Scalding hot tea. I stuff my nose into the mug and breathe the steam. After I take a swallow of tea, I try to exhale through my nose. If I've properly scalded my sinuses, I'll often feel mucus draining out (sorry if I put you off your tea!) and the pressure begins to ease up.

Try a little ether, that should clear it right up, of course only if you can stand the bats, oh the bats!

I get migraines around "that time of the month". I have found Exederin Migraine to be very helpful if I take it when I first feel it starting. Sometimes lying down with an ice pack on the neck and falling asleep helps too. I think it just depends on what type of headache you have and what is causing it will depend on what will cure it.
-
Try over the counter drugs such as Aspirin or Tylenol, both good, a preference really. Turn off all music, television shows, and the computer. Relax, put a cold wet towel on your forhead. Thing happy thoughts, eat a little chocolate
-
The answer varies for each person. It also depends upon the severity of the headaches. For regular headaches, tylenol or another pain reliever should work. For migraines, it is best to see a neurologist. In the meantime, you can try some different things. Heat works for some people while cold packs work for other people. Caffeine triggers migraines for some but cures them for others. So it's really an individual thing.
-
To get rid of headaches, use reverse psychology. Or use medicine or go to the doctor.
-
one of the most common reasons for headaches is being dehydrated. think back, when was the last time you drank just plain water? all of the stuff thats availible these days to chug down its no wonder we have to chase it with tylenol. water might be your answer.
-
usually water works, most headaches are because of dehydration
-
Sometimes pressing lightly on my eyes helps. Also try taking a shower or putting a damp washcloth over your eyes.
-
water and sleep always help me

meditation.. Lie down and imagine every muscle relaxing in your body. It sounds strange, but try it, slowly hearing in your head "and now my arm and now my finger and now this muscle and now my leg and... " and then count to ten and imagine yourself you want to be. Im a migraine sufferer and that helps, Also turn off the lights and noise. And if somebody is around to massage your neck that helps. You yourself can place pressure on that spot in palms of your hands between your thumbs and second finger- pressure point.
-
Take a warm bath and go to sleep.
-
There is a pressure point on the muscle of your hand, between your thumb and your first finger.. you squeeze it, hold it about ten seconds and let it go. You will feel the pressure point, it may hurt a little, but this will let you know you found the right spot. It is right where the web ends and the muscle begins. Try that one. Closing your eyes if it is a eye strain headache helps, and the person who said drink some water is right on. A humidifier if you are congested.
-
Caffiene, seriously. You can get a headache from your body being used to certain amounts of caffiene intake and then not recieving it.
-
I find that stretching the neck in all different directions often helps to alleviate the pain of a headache.
-
Advil :)
-
Hit your thumb with a hammer.... it'll soon take your mind off the headache!:-)
-
Depending on what kind of headache and what caused it, I try one or several of these remedies: Ibuprophen, Acetaminaphin, Caffeine, sleep, massage, neck stretches/strengthening exercises, and if all else fails, I put on my football helmet and run around for awhile.
-
usually pop an advil and take a nap
-
An Advil usually takes care of it if I catch it early, but if not, I have to take some medicine (provided that I'm not too nauseous to do so at that point) and lay down in a dark room with a cold washcloth over my eyes.
-
Take Ibuprofen or something of the sort.. or lay down somewhere in the dark with no noisy at all and try to rest.
-
It depends greatly on the type of headache and the reasons for the headahce. For a migraine, take a single aspirin when you get visual disturbances (a pre-curser), for dehydration (usually pain at the top of the head) - start drinking water and take a paracetamol, for pain post head injury - see your doctor, tension headache - paracetamol. If the head ache continues you need to see someone, if you have vomiting, visual disturbances, abnormal behaviour and severe head pain, you need to get to a doctor. Otherwise, have a lie down and a panadol.
-
there are a variety of ways, depending on the type of headache, if it has been bought on by dehydration, ie: after to much alcohol or a hard work out and not enough fluid intake, you can eliminate the headache by taking on a lot of fluid, preferably water!! then ther are the panadol type pain killers, they usually work ............

Sex is a great way to get rid of a headache.
-
drink lots of water and/or lie down

I've been told that when you get a headache, it means you're head is hot. Try sticking something cold on your neck, to see if that helps. You can also massage your neck, or your temples. Also, you might try to get someone who knows how to give good foot massages. My dad gets migraines, and when my mom gives him a foot rub, he says it seems to release tension in his head. The body is an amazing and complicated thing. I suppose if none of this works, you could take an ibuprofen and maybe a nap.
-
Regular type headache 800mg of Ibuprofen Migraine type 400mg of Advil Migraine Sinus type 400mg of Advil cold and sinus.
-
Press that part of skin between your thumb and index finger.
-
Drink a thing of diet coke (it actually has to be diet coke though) and like half an hour later take a naproxen sodium (or tylenol). I had a really bad headache once and a paramedic told me that this works because something about one of the chemicals in the diet coke causes the blood vessels to open up allowing the medication to get through or something like that. Then if you have access to a shower where you are take a hot shower.
-
I get lots of headaches have done all my life. I have tried so many tablets. dont have one that really works. Most of the time I take what ever i can then lay down in a dark room for a while.
-
Try pinching the skin between your thumb and index finger. This is what they do in reflexology.
-
Get rid of the cause. In other words, if you're stressed, work on relaxing. If you have high blood pressure, eliminate salt, If you have a lousy job, change it.etc.
-
sleep it off
-
Some people have told me that a short nap will do the trick, especially if it is a tension headache. Also, have a glass of water to make sure it isn't a touch of dehydration.
-
u kan trink sum wdder an dat kan help.
-
it depends on what the headache is brought on by, and what inensity the pain is.
-
im in school so i cant take a nap and water doesnt help. i just cant get rid of it
-
the best way is probably to take medicine, other than that, sleeping often helps. Also, I have some anti-headache music/sounds, they help against small headaches
-
pound your toe with a hammer. you will completely forget about the headache... LOL
-
Massage the palm of your hand with an ice cube.
-
Advil
-
The guillotine!! ha!! just joking.... relax....massage....pain killlers if needed!!!!
-
drink a red bull, but let the drink settle under the toung for a few seconds at a time. that is called "sub-lingually" and the caffine is a known and VERY effective head-ache treatment. used when all other pain killers are contra-indicated. it can even be put in an IV, but a red bull drunkin slowly should do the trick
-
Get off the computer, looking at the monitor can only make it worse.
