Oh yeah! I always feel bad for elderly people that I see walking down the road, most of them look like they can barely walk! And for homeless animals and things. I cry over the slightest thing here lately! Trust me, you are not alone! : )

I worry about people like that too. :( Every time I see a girl around at night by herself, I get almost panicky worrying about her safety. I live in a touristy sort of town, so being alone at night isn't all that safe even if you're a guy. A few times, I've been inclined to stay in the area just to keep an eye on her, not wanting to leave because I knew that the moment I did, something horrible would happen. :

Sometimes I do cry for a "small reason", but I don't think your concern for a human being is a small thing!

You are not alone:) I cry if I see an older person sitting alone at a park or eating alone. Or if I see a dog tied up. There are so many things that brings me to tears.

I got choked up about an hour ago when my ex's sister (who's visiting from across the country and leaving tomorrow) gave me a card. We get along so well. Their family loves me and invites me to practically everything... Her card was signed "your sis..." and I was very misty for a few minutes.

A couple weeks ago we saw this bum asking for money, complete w/ the "hungry please help" sign. This is the same bum that is always walking around town drunk with a can of beer. My 10 year old daughter wanted to give him money and I drove away saying he would just use it for more beer. My daughter started crying saying "how would you feel if you were hungry and no one would give you food, MOM he is hungry." So we got back in the car and went to Wendy's drive thru and got him 2 burgers, fries, and a biggie coke. Went back and gave him the food, he put it in his bag and we drove away. And my daughter stopped crying, it made her happy because she really thought that feeding the man was going to help him. Who knows maybe the caring of a little girl will.

She is probably used to it. While I do understand why you got worked up over that, .. people who are in those situations make do with what they have. She probably did cross alright. My dad is blind and people get worked up about him crossing the streets as well, but he's used to life as a blind man. He's made it through life just fine and hasn't died yet. The same probably goes for that woman you saw in a wheelchair with her baby.
