Help answer this question below.
In my opinion the thin line between black and white magic is the use. If you use it for personal gain without caring of the consequences or hurting people, it is black magic. If it is used not for personal gain but for the common good, paying attention to the freedom of everyone and making sure no one will be hurt, it is white magic.
well its spelled either magic or magick the latter being the wiccan way. Satanist believe they are the same thing and that white magick is only called white so they can give the illusion of it being good as apposed to black magick basically they are just dodging guilt and are as bad if not worse than christians (from a typical satanist viewpoint)
Magick is colorless. Intention is a color wheel. Experience and knowledge are the brushes.
It depends on who you ask.
There are many witches (like myself) who say that there is no such thing as white or black magic. It'd be like saying white or black electricity. It is not the magic that harms or heals, but the intention of the caster using the magic. And even that is open to each person's subjective interpretation.
I just wrote our an answer to this question however it was far too long and required numerous references to both scientific/religious/occult books. To give a very simplified answer by increasing the body's/consciousness's ability to process information at an atomic level via meditation and energy manipulation exercises, one can tap into one of two plains of information which permanate every part of our reality. I one seeks personal reward in any form or to boost the ego they will automatically tap into the dark/black side of reality. If a person with the same ability tries to do this for selfless reasons eg the gathering of knowledge for the sake of knowledge to heal or to exorcise darkness/daemons, they will tap into the light. White magic is as such practiced by many Christians and other mainstream religions and is not the preserve of the occult. Those who practice white or black magic must go through prior training which is basically the same. eg. a Sorcerer may practice drug induced trance where as a Christian would practice focusing the mind on god through prayer. In this way they are related. However in practice it is the intent not the effects that determine wether magic is white or black. Eg. A black mage could heal a person to boost their ego or to gain followers. Another common difference is that a person practicing black magic will always believe that the effects of there magic are due to there own innate power. they will say that THEY healed you where as a practitioner of white magic will realise that they have simply opened themselves up for a higher power to work through them and will take no credit for the work. To fully answer any question regarding real magic one must first understand what magic is which is massively lacking in most of those who seek to practice it and is not fully understood even by the best of the worlds scientists and spiritual figures (me included). I hope this will inspire some who read this to do their own research in order to try to understand it.
it is the intention that is good or bad . and sometimes even the person . magic is what it is . it's how you use it ,or the result that defines it. and (for some ) needs a colour label .
I'm a Wicca, and i would like to know if anyone could point me in the direction to a good website. For spell and tools.
