  2 days ago I met Gril that her friend has a crush on me. I walked with her to that.girl and she didnt look any way sympatied about me she just facepalmed and get a bit shy when she saw me.Next day she asked me about my name I decided to tell it. When i came back from school I looked on facebook and they in fact invited me. Today I decided to ask for real whats going on she still says that her friend has crush on me stuff. But still the girl that she was talking about doesnt show any kind of feeling to me.They are propobly 1 year younger than me (Im 17) .   I have a trip to Paris planned with my parents, girlfriend and her daughter (9yo). Recently we found out that my father has prostate cancer and will need to undergo radiation treatment. He wont be able to come. Should the rest of us still go? My father has my brother and sister who will be able to support him while we are gone. I am going to feel bad if we go without him but also if we don't go at all. My girlfriend, her daughter, and my mother are really looking forward to the trip and still want to go. Should we not go? My sister is giving my mom a hard time about it. The trip is in a month. Thoughts?

  Greetings the issue that im about to talk about has been bothering me for sometime and i thought it would be best if i can get advice from people.I have strict parents and i think this has affected my social life negatively.The only time i could actually spend time with my friends was at school,and i was at a boarding school in high school.During the holidays my parents would never allow us to go for friends birthday parties,movies and just generally spending time with them as they believed having a social life was not important.we rarely used to have friends over because me and my siblings would always be afraid of bringing our friends home because of the fear of what our parents would say and do.The only time i had friendships that existed was when i was in school,the moment i went home for holidays my friendships were non existant.I am currently in University but im home on holiday and my parents have given me a curfew which is at 18:00 hrs.My parents barely let me have freedom.I now look at my life and ive realised that i barely have any friends.No one calls my phone to ask to do anything with me.My social life especially when im home is non existant.And ive stayed with not having really close friends for a very long time.What advice would you give me as i need to have a social life and friends with whom i can spend time with?

The movie is set in some ancient/old times, where a man was exchanging messages with his lover using carrier pigeons, and then when finally he arrived at her country to meet her, another woman used magic to decieve him into loving her, afterwards he was killed but the truth was told to his true lover and when she knew the that he always loved her the things were out of his hand, she went to the boat that his body was kept in and while the soldiers were throwing fire sticks on the boat that is filled with ashes to burn his body, she then appears inbetween this fire and fires a sword through her stomach to die alongside him.   Today I have an exam, my teacher asked me to give an example for each tense in English. I did: "I'm learning English" for the Simple Continuous, and she said it was wrong because it must have the word "now". I don't know. It is right in English if I write :" I'm learning English" without any context

  I had know this man 38 years ago, I thought of he and the people we knew throughout the years. We lived in the same state but not the city.
