  • Human contact and being in person with you is more influential and persuasive than sending the material coldly to you and letting you read it. They know they have a better chance of "winning" you on their side, particularly if they're good with social skills and are people-oriented. :)
  • Sometimes there is a legal requirement that the salesperson make sure you understand all the information, and they must sign that they know you have been told. My Hubby insists on an advance copy of everything, or makes them schedule a second appointment.
