Help answer this question below.
They they are in the sex trade and it's not just for people's health.
Probably that they enjoy giving massages to their significant other. They must think, More Work!"
That your massage will have a happy ending.
Most prominent: They are prostitutes.
That if you have a pain it will magically disapear after one massage session. I mean seriously! Most of the pain you have before you get a massage can be relieved but on some cases it cant be in only one session. Give it time and take care of yourself too.
Also That the profesiion is easy. It's really not. :)
That you would be more comfortable with someone of a different sex. I thought that and I was wrong. I am sorry guys but I have had both men and women give me massages and the women were much better. Maybe I just haven't had the right man yet. I will keep trying though:))
That their second job is making pizza.
That they ALWAYS wash their hands...............
That they are all granola-crunching, grass-juice swilling New Age flakes.
In reality, only about 97.8% of them are.
That they are actually all hookers.
That they are on the game.
That they find the Term "Happy Ending" as funny as we do.
As an instructor of acupressure massage therapy (among other things), I know that a huge number of people just assume that the touching will be sexual and stimulating ... while this may be the case with some to many, it is not the case with ALL of us.
People ask me stupid things all the time...do you give a happy ending? I say sure! The happy ending is when I finish your massage and you pay me. Then we are both happy! Do they realize they are calling you a prostitute! What the hell?
In japan, you can get a massage therapist to do ALMOST anything. This is a fact, though i've never partaken in such behavior ;)
that they give happy endings
is it the possibility of 'extras'?
that they are all called Helga and Sven
My clients always comment - "You must have really strong hands". This is a typical misconception of massage therapists.
The depth of pressure from a massage comes from taking a few steps back and leaning into areas using hands, forearms, and even elbows.
It is important to rely on proper body mechanics, instead of force, to avoid overuse syndromes.
That they're not actually therapists, also that they give guy hand jobs during sessions.
they will do extra for extra money.
I think some people (not most) assume that there is something sexual about their jobs.
Others may assume that their job is easy, but it is one of the most physically demanding jobs that I know of.
that I am a therapist of the mind as well.
people experince a false sense of imtimancy and tell you their problems that arent pain related,
like love problems or spouse or work problems.
Association with sex..purely..because prostitution use the term 'massage parlour' to disguise its trade..
They can hook up with anyone they massage.
that not all of them perform sex acts for a price
One misconception is that it is easy work and in reality it takes a lot out of you, especially when you to 4 or 5 in a row.
People often associate Massage Therapy with Escort Services and/or Prostitution. Prostitution being the oldest profession known to man has another connotation that really doesn’t fit well with a therapist who is focused on staying professional. Massage Therapy has gotten a bad name from several businesses that claim to be “Massage Parlors” when they are practicing prostitution behind the scenes. Also, many escort services say they are providing massage therapy which is false advertisement. Therapists are being judged constantly upon this misconception, instead of being respected for the knowledge of their craft.
