Louisiana is currently looking at changing the punishment for child rapists to the death penalty. Do you think this is appropriate punishment?

No I am against the death penalty for any reason. I think it is a horrendous crime to rape a child but in my mind there is no reason to KILL another human being. I know many people will disagree with me. The state has no right to KILL someone else for the public good. I think that a person who harms another one has some psychological problem and that needs to be addressed and hopefully he/she can become rehabilitated.

There is nothing more justified than sending someone who has raped a child into the general population of a prison where they can be raped every day for the rest of their natural life. Their victim will never forget the painful trauma of the violent act, and therefore I believe the perpetrator should have a daily reminder of wha it is like to be victimized.

I don't believe in the death penalty, but, if anything justified it, this does.

I do! These brutal predators should be destroyed. Why keep them around? It cost US taxpayers a fortune taking care of them in jail. They savagely take an innocent life and remain alive? GET RID OF THEM.
