  • None. That would be one BIG hawk. The largest hawk in the US is the Redtailed Hawk, or the Ferruginous hawk, depending on the authority and how you measure, wing span, body length,or weight. The red tailed weighs a max of 4 pounds, the ferruginous reaches about a half pound more. By comparison, mature Golden and Bald eagles weigh 10 to 14 pounds. The world's largest eagle, the Harpy Eagle, weighs 18 pounds. BTW In birds of prey, the female is larger and outweighs the male, a male Harpy weighs up to 16 pounds.
