  • I think they just evolved from saying, "Are you often this nervous?" in a more casual, joking, or ridiculing manner. "Nervous much?" is far easier to say, and can be said in a way so as to not provoke, but still elicit answer.
  • I had not heard them before the movie "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," which came out in '94. Jim Carrey's character asked at one point, "obsess much?" Such expressions must have been around previously, but I have no doubt that that movie launched them into becoming popular vernacular.
