There's really not much you can eat that will keep you feeling full the next day. When they give you such instructions, they tell you what you can eat. For example, when I had a colonoscopy late last year, I could eat jello [except red] and clear liquids. So the 24-hour thing wasn't so bad. Liquids can give you a full feeling too, you know. That's why people on a diet are advised to drink lots of water.

A student at GMU has chrome's disease(or something like that) & his doctor told him he couldn't eat solid food for 30 days. So, the poor boy came into my store one day starving & asking for my help, I recommended that he eat the broth of the soups that we made daily there, or take a package of raman noodles & just use the packet, mix it with water, instant broth. To him, it was the best thing in the world.

I try to taper off not stuff myself so my tummy is used to being a little emptier. You don't WANT to be full longer. You want that food to go through you completely. That's the point of not having you eating. SO don't eat things that take a long time to digest like meats are slow to work through. Eat lots of fiber and fresh things like fruits and veggies, maybe some rice.
