I have waited many years for this day. While in college I did an internship at a scrapmetal yard. There were many interesting people who came through selling many interesting types of metal. The one that stands out most in my mind was an old man who came in selling what he called "hoops from the pickle factory". I have always loved that phrase. It makes me thing of a name you might give people escaping from the lunatic asylum. Or it could be a great title of a book. Any way Your question finally gives me the opportunity to share the phrase.

No, but I always found the word "gherkin" quite amusing for some reason. I couldn't figure out why, until I recently looked up a definition to check my spelling before answering your question. Check below: Gherkin= the small, immature fruit of a variety of cucumber, used in pickling.
