I can't relax in a dirty or cluttered place, and I like to feel relaxed.
Just wanting to be clean and neat for myself, my husband and any visitors. I feel it shows respect to others and to how I feel about my home if I keep it clean. If you don't care about something, you don't take care of it.
If I would let it get out of hand I know that I would never be able to recover... I must stay pretty neat!!!
Clutter drives me crazy. Clean is good.
Shedding dogs
It used to be my brother in law, Dan, with his nasty comments that made their way back to me. But as I got used to being a wife and mother, I got used to doing alot of housework. Eventually, I was so used to it being clean that it was the only way I wanted it to be.

I am old military and I can't stand living in a dump or an unsanitary place....
the threat of people stopping by but it never happens... usually the threat of my husband.....
Shame...that someone will think that I am a slob..I guess
the fear of what might be under all the crap my kids leave around. lol
I am motivated by the fact that I am an anal clean freak =)
Positive energy that I wish to surround myself with. I never feel positive with a dirty house, yuk.
if I don't I CANT FIND SHIT
My extreme frustration at not being able to find things when I want them. I can get quite obsessive when I lose something and will hunt until I find it. My increasing bad temper as I search is motivation for everyone to help me find it - and I nearly always do eventually.
Unexpected visitors.
I enjoy seeing my home tidy and very clean, I do it for myself.
My cat gives me dirty looks.. lol
Nothing really...a clean house is much more pleasant than a dirty house. And if I tidy it up every day, then I won't have to do all the work one day.
The prospect of visitors!
The thought of unexpected company dropping by and the feeling of embarrassment that I would experience if the house was a mess.
Nothing, it's why we have a maid.
I feel uncomfortable whenever our home is dirty.
pride and ease of living
My OCD.
unannounced royal visits by my mom
Company coming over. I just like things in order.
I hate messes
My cats hair makes me sneeze and it is everywhere if i don't keep it tidy!
nothing, thats why its dirty :)
allergies and the fact that I like to actually find things. :-)
we have an open door policy at my house.
People come in and out all day every day.
Even when we arent home.
Lol.
So yeah.
Having people looking around your house constantly kinds is motivation to keep it clean.
~+~
my cat gives me dirty looks..lol
my cell mate
My fiance. He is a clean freak so he usually is always cleaning.
The grandbaby coming over for the weekend!
The fact that it's starting to look a bit disheveled it needs to be tidied up and especially if I have company coming over.
Nothing my house is a mess.
When I know Im having guests, I have to make sure it's looking a little bit decent.
I don't like tripping over things and I like to be able to find them.
I'd rather breath air than dust and I like to have clean surfaces on which to put food and utensils.
That's why when I pulled up my old carpeting and exposed the relatively new hardwood floor underneath I left it that way.
Now I just have a few small and conveniently washable fabric area rugs instead.
Unfortunately not much.
nothing. that's why my room looks like a hurricane hit.
when I invite friends over
otherwise I am happy to cohabit a dust ball or two.
the wifes whip :)
If our house is clean and tidy, I see a high quality of mood of happiness in my wife. In order to keep her happy and joyful, I try to keep house clean and tidy.
nothing. My house is an organized mess. I only clean it when im sick of trippin over stuff... i cant handle having al overly clean house...it doesnt feel lived in.
People coming over - I don't mind it getting pretty messy until either I can't walk in my room or someone comes over.
People visiting
Fear of my family showing up at any given time. I try to keep the house fairly clean so they don't think we are pigs :)
Tripping over something in the dark.
